Shelter Dog Coffee is a small-batch craft coffee roastery dedicated to great coffee and meaningful impact. We roast specialty-grade, ethically sourced coffee and donate a portion of every retail sale to support animal shelters and rescue organizations helping pets in need.

10% of every retail coffee sale — including online orders, subscriptions, and purchases made at our markets and events — is donated to support the lifesaving work of Heidi's Village.

In addition to our ongoing support of Heidi's Village, we also partner with rescue organizations throughout the year on special fundraising campaigns that help provide food, shelter, medical care, and second chances for pets in need.

The Shelter Dog Coffee Club is our free member community. It's our way of thanking the people who support our mission. Members earn points on purchases and can redeem them for rewards on future orders.

How do I join?

Simply create an account on our website and you're automatically enrolled in the Shelter Dog Coffee Club.

How do I earn points?

You can earn points by:

  • Placing orders
  • Celebrating your birthday

Additional ways to earn points may be added in the future.

How many points do I earn?

Members earn 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases.

How do rewards work?

100 points = $5 off a future purchase.

Do subscription orders earn points?

Yes. Subscription orders earn points just like one-time purchases.

Can I redeem points on my subscription order?

At this time, points cannot be applied directly to recurring subscription renewals. However, points can be redeemed on eligible one-time purchases made through our website, including coffee, merchandise, and gifts. Subscription members already receive exclusive pricing and shipping benefits while continuing to earn points on every subscription order.

Do farmers market purchases earn points?

Yes. If we have your email address associated with your purchase, your points will automatically be added to your account.

How do I redeem my points?

Log in to your account and visit the Shelter Dog Coffee Club page to view and redeem available rewards.

Do my points expire?

At this time, points do not expire.

Can I transfer points to another person?

Points are non-transferable and can only be used by the account that earned them.

Can I redeem points to help shelter dogs?

We're exploring ways for members to convert rewards into support for shelter pets and rescue organizations. It's an idea we love and hope to offer in the future.

I purchased before the Shelter Dog Coffee Club launched. Can I still earn points?

We love recognizing our early supporters and may offer special opportunities to reward past purchases. Stay tuned for future announcements.

What shipping carriers do you use?

We ship all packages through the United States Postal Service (USPS), DHL Express, FedEx, and UPS.

Where is my order?

We roast to order and typically ship within 3-5 business days. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order is on its way.

How can I change my order once it's placed?

How do I return an item?

If your package was damaged during shipping or is unsafe to consume, we will gladly exchange it for the same blend. Please reach out to us at admin@shelterdogcoffee.com. Due to the nature of coffee, we cannot accept returns for credit or refunds.

Something is wrong with my order. What should I do?

If you received the wrong item or something is missing, please contact us at admin@shelterdogcoffee.com, and we’ll make it right.

What is your merchandise return policy?

Merchandise (apparel, mugs, etc.) must be unused, unwashed, with tags attached, and returned within 30 days of purchase. Contact admin@shelterdogcoffee.com to start a return.

What are my payment options?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

How should I store coffee to maintain freshness?

Store coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dark place at room temperature. Avoid moisture and direct sunlight to preserve freshness.

How long will my coffee stay fresh?

Whole bean coffee stays fresh for about four weeks with proper storage. For the best taste, grind fresh before brewing. An airtight container can help extend freshness.
